What places can young people call their own? Based on workshops with an East London school and youth centre, the Beat Haus provides a musical play-space in a sheltered social environment.
 
The participants decided they wanted an independent social space that was safe and sheltered. They spent a lot of their time creating hip hop using basic music software such as FruityLoops and wanted a space in which they could be creative and focus on vocals and play.
 
the music table allows young people to trigger loops by hitting the surface. Young people can put their own loops onto a USB stick and plug it into the music table to create their own sounds.
